Tiger Woods expecting to win a title “soon”

Tiger Woods has revealed that he is confident that he will end his title drought “soon” as he prepares to take part in the The Northern Trust this week, according to a report on Eurosport.

Woods has found some good form in recent months and finished missed out on his first title since returning to golf when he finished as the runner-up in the PGA Championship at Bellerive.

This is the first time that Woods is in the PGA Tour’s FedExCup playoffs since 2013 and with his back problems firmly behind him, he is confident that he can win the title.

He said:

I feel like my next wins are coming soon. How soon I don’t know but I’m putting myself there in tournaments now.

I’ve done it two of the last three tournaments I’ve played and they were big events, so I’m not that far away from getting it done. I think if I keep giving myself opportunities, I’ll get the job done.

Woods almost retired from golf last year after persistent back injuries meant he could barely walk, but he has made a fabulous recovery and looks like he his back to his best.

Woods was struggling with his putting earlier in the year but he has managed to overcome that problem as he pushes for a victory.
